The first signs of my later capriccio townscapes appears in this painting that was commissioned by a client. This technically was the second painting in this style I did, as the first I completed to celebrate my one hundredth house portrait. My client had requested that I include local shops and sights that were well known to him. This was the start of a long and interesting journey.
